So I'm new to the fascinating world of wigs...and I got two wigs I need to style and get done for a con im going to in a month. I have googled and you-tubed some tips and tricks and pretty much accepted the fact we probably won't look so badass because
A- I bought cheap wigs, not expensive high quality ones
B- even though I'm a girl I have no experience styling my own hair (I'm a throw it in a bun/just make sure it's clean type of chick)
And C- all the tutorials I've found are for the expensive wigs. And none of which really explain the wig basics.
I mean I understand literally the basics ----use hair net cover thing. Place wig on head, bobby pin in place. But that's all I've got. Not to mention the two wigs I got are very different. The shorter haired one (for a Cloud cosplay) seems to have a full around the head fit and the longer haired piece (for sephiroth) seems to only have only a half a head fit, you still can't see my normal hair under that fantastic silver mane but it makes it hard to line up... So I am experimenting with styling and how these things work but I'm terrified of ruining them and or not getting them to look good....so I thought I'd put it out there on here rather than google a million different things
Anyone work with the cheapie/costume wigs and got any extra tips?
